Sustainability conversations: the biggest blocker?

"There are no environmental problems, there are only environmental symptoms of human problems.” Robert Gilman

Are you uncomfortable talking about sustainability with your clients?

Do you feel guilty that sustainability doesn’t play a larger role in your investment and planning advice?

Is there a conflict between money and sustainability in your work?

Is your story about sustainability holding you back?

Our relationship with sustainability can be fraught with cognitive dissonance; there is often a conflict between what we want to do and what we feel we ought to do. In this workshop we will explore issues such as:

  • our loyalty to workplace values about sustainability

  • the stories we have inherited from our families

  • the emotional cost of our attachment to unsustainable practices

The workshop will include opportunities for a number of participants to map and explore their particular challenges in a systemic format. For more information on the methodology see this page.

Benefits for participants may include:

  • A clearer sense of purpose

  • Easier conversations about sustainability

  • Enhanced relationships with clients
